Bluefish - blue green on dorsal areas and silver on abdominal areas.3-4 pound fish are common - can run to 20 pounds.The bluefish, is native to both the American and European-African coasts of the Atlantic Ocean. Along the western Atlantic it is abundant from Argentina to Cape Cod, and it occasionally occurs as far north as Nova Scotia. - sharp teeth- can be hard on leaders- voracious feeders. - often in schools

Cobia - chocolate brown with a white bellyshort spines in front of dorsal fin- lower jaw protudes beyond upper-found around offshore structures and buoys.maximum size 78 inches 160 pounds. Average 15 to 20 pounds- found in temperate, sub tropical and tropical waters. they are pelagic and range as far north as Nova Scotia but are found predominately from Chesapeake Bay south and thru the Gulf of Mexico. Not found on the west coast of USA.

Crevalle Jack - oblong body - black-green to greenish gold back, silvery white sides,black spot on gill covers and at bottom of pectoral fins - blunt head. Not good table fare. Found in temperate and tropical waters from Nova scotia to Uraguay. They migrate to warm water as northern waters cool.

Spanish Mackerel - streamlined body, greenish above and silver below with gold spots on the sides- gradually sloping lateral line and a black patch on the front of dorsal fin.-pelagic school fish-Occur from the Gulf of Mexico to cape cod in warm water only.
